Who Are We?
We were established by the Board of Directors as the Beautification Committee of Cascades, and now have
transitioned into a club, Beautification and Nature Club (BNC).
We are resident-volunteers, who enjoy gardening and having fun working with others. We hope to improve the
beauty of our community, while supporting wildlife and the natural areas of our neighborhood. We continue to
find and work on projects of interest to our community along with promoting beautification and curb appeal.
What Have We Done?
Worked with the Board of Directors to have the landscaping updated at the front of the development, the
Roundabout and the Amenity Center. 2019-current.
Maintained the rose beds at the front entrance. 2019 - 2021
Maintain the pots at the Amenity Center from season to season. 2019— current
Sponsored and hosted the 1st Spring Plant Swap in 2019 - continued Plant Swap every Earth Day, April 22
Sponsored the 1st Luminary Fund Raiser and resident display. 2021—Current
Sponsored the 1st Butterfly Program 2021, 2nd 2022
Designed and Landscaped Copperhead Island 2023
Aquapods, a committee in BNC, has worked with the BOD and SOLitude on extensive research for Erosion Control on Pond 4 2023—current

BUTTERFLY GARDEN
Our project is the establishment of a Butterfly and Nature Garden at the end of Castle Pines Circle on North
Legacy Trail. 2021—current
Received our Certificate as a Monarch Way Station 2022
Installed Low Voltage Lighting at the Butterfly Garden 2023
Installed and labeled plants in the Butterfly Garden 2023
Currently working on the Extension of the butterfly garden
Currently working on Coghill Island
When We Do It?
Members meeting is held the third Thursday of each month at 2 pm in the Arts and Craft Room at the Amenity Center.
Non-Gardeners are alway welcome!!!
Membership dollars go to current and future projects of the BNC.
